Four July’s ago, the notion of Rivulet Industries began spinning its cocoon, mixed with conspiracies, challenges, and hard unforeseen emotional changes. Then came the right moment at precisely the right time — I made a choice.
It was that choice that would help dust off my right brain and spurn an evolution of sorts. Rivulet has seen several faces and has been defined in several ways, a metamorphosis if you will. It was that very thought that helped cement the “brand” that is Rivulet. Not only the word rivulet with the undertone of sweat equity (thank you – Ayn Rand) or the literal meaning of a tributary to a greater existence – however one chooses to define it, it’s yours. As much for me is the iconic butterfly – The metamorphosis; A profound change, moving from one stage to the next, your life history. For a butterfly it starts as larval caterpillar stage, an inactive pupal stage, and a spectacular metamorphosis into a familiar and colorful winged adult form. I find the similarities startling. For us, it is not as determined nor is it physically altering. For us, for those who want it, it is mental, it is emotional, and it is in constant development in an effort to move into a truly beautiful space.
We have done some wonderful things with and for some truly amazing people all under the ambiguous Rivulet umbrella. I have seen unfettered appreciation and admiration to this vague concept which continues to amaze me all the while dousing me with pride. Each and every person that I have had the pleasure of speaking to or collaborating with understands what is at the core – the principle of helping each other ‘hold our heads up’ and embrace the turbulence that each of us face.
Now more than ever do I believe in the idea, the way of life: BE BRAVE, BE KIND.
After four years I still cannot effectively answer the question of what is “Rivulet Industries?” What I do know is that in these four years I have personally had significant emotional metamorphosis – where I have grown, learned, loved, and observed as I begin to fill up again. Wa’-do
